I love using henna in place of hair dye. This product is so easy to use, I can use it on my second deployment to Iraq, no problem. You do need to use petroleum jelly around your hairline, though, or else you'll have stains for a few days. I have dark brown hair, and this color is pretty true.

I've used henna before and have found that it hasn't covered my gray hairs. I have afro hair, and lots of white hairs, but with an allergy to permanent hair dye my options for coverage are limited. I took the advise of a fellow reviewer and shampooed my hair with lemon juice to clarify, then used a regular shampoo, towel dried my hair, applied half a bottle of the henna cream (I have short bobbed hair), left it for 40 mins, then hey presto after conditioning and blow drying NO GRAY HAIR! Plus no run off of dye onto my white cotton pillows. Very pleased with the product and will definitely purchase again.

I love Henna. It is an ideal replacement for chemicals in the hair and covers grey fairly well, if you don't have that much, or just want softer, shiny hair. My hair is very dark and I use the Dark Brown. It covers the grey that I have underneath my hair, and it works for a couple of weeks (3-4) and my shoulder length hair gets two uses out of one bottle.
