Revlon Colorsilk Haircolor #53 Light Auburn 5R

1) It's a believable color. Not that creepy maroon red or that 'oh my gosh she looks like a carrot' red. It's just red enough to be believable, even if your friends have seen you with dark hair for years. Okay, then they will know you dyed it, but only in the best way. The color on the box is close, at least for me, it came out less copper than the picture, but it's a NICE, grownup, lighter, reddish color. I will admit, I don't love looking in the mirror at my age (43) and seeing my mom :) So I dye my hair and this is my favorite color.

2) It's super easy to use. I use it on my dark brown hair, leave it on for 40 minutes, and use it on dry hair. Just mix 2 things together, shake well, apply to hair and wait. Then rinse (don't shampoo!!!!) out, condition it, and dry.

I found Light Auburn in Colorsilk to be a very good product. I don't use the conditioner that comes with the box because it makes my hair really sticky, so I use my own conditioner. I'm very happy with the results. It gives my hair just a nice reddish blondish look that looks good with my light skin and green eyes. I like this product very much.
