I love this henna. It really gives my (naturally brown, now graying) hair a beautiful copperish auburn glow. I indeed did leave it on for the recommended 2 hrs, no hardship on a rainy cold day. The 1st application "lasted" over 2 months, simply until I wanted to cover the 1 inch of growth, so we applied to the roots first to let it coat then finished the entire head of hair. Am I odd, but I like the smell of freshly mown hay!!

I am getting white strands of hair, more and more yearly and have tried succesfully to hide that fact over the years. But apart from cellophanes, and I consider this product to be in that category, dyes have always done damage. I go to a high-end salon that uses organic, natural products and even their dyes dried my hair. This is the 3rd henna I've tried and am ordering it again from this merchant because it gives me beautiful ruby highlights instead of grays. The first time I was surprised at the strong orange result which looked okay except near my face ( in sun my hair tends to develop red tones anyway - Chinese/ Caucasian mix.) So I followed the advice of someone who gave instructions on how to add indigo to darken the color and tried that, even though I am lazy!

I gave it a try, but I prefer Jamilia Henna over this. It smelled way better then regular henna though...
