Product Description
Directions: Shampoo hair and dry. Use petroleum jelly or baby oil around hairline and on ears. Use rubber gloves. Apply dye evenly from roots to ends with a Jerome Russell tint brush. Comb through. Leave on hair approximately 15-30 minutes, then rinse out. Color will fade out with each shampoo and may last for 5-40 washes. For best results, apply to dry hair, bleach first and do not condition.

Summary: The BEST true blue semi-permanent dye out there! 2009-12-06
Comment: I am in love with this brand and color. I've tried many different blues from other brands (Manic Panic, Special Effects, etc.) and this is by far the best. It has incredible staying power and stays a true midnight blue for a good long time. I'm used to other blues fading quickly or going purple too quickly and this one really holds up well. I wash/condition my hair every day (even in hot water, gasp) with color care shampoo/conditioner and it still looks great even a week later. I left it on for only 30 minutes under heat at the salon and I had incredible results. It covers evenly and the color is a deep, dark blue. It does bleed a bit during the first few washes but the runoff didn't stain my tub or hands (this was after the initial dyeing was done at a salon). For the cleanest experience I would recommend dyeing at a salon. The best part is how shiny and soft it makes your hair feel after dyeing! It made my hair feel better than most conditioners out there. Smells great too, like blueberry magic markers. Forget Manic Panic After Midnight, it fades way fast and Special Effects Blue Velvet goes purple too quickly. For those looking for a holy grail of true midnight blue dye, this is it! Long live Punky Colour.

Summary: The Only Dye I'll Use 2008-07-27
Comment: I've been using this hair dye for 8 years, and it's the only hair dye I'll use. The colors come out vibrant and bright, and are also not damaging to your hair. I bleach my hair and then dye it. My hair comes out soft and shiny, and I love the colors. I use the blue shades only: midnight blue and turquoise the most.

As long as I'm dying my hair, I'll only use Punky Colours. I recommend!!

The only down fall is it fades semi-quickly, and it does stain white bathtubs when you first rinse it out, but, spread conditioner on your bathtub before you rinse and there will be no staining.
