Because of allergy to many perfumes and common cosmetic ingredients, I tried Light Mountain Color the Gray. The usual temporary hair colors, including the nice Logona natural line, which has perfume, gave me itchy red eyes, itchy skin and caused sneezing. With LM CTG, that doesn't happen. The only ingredients are powdered dried leaves of henna and indigo. I like the natural-looking dark brown achieved with this product. I've received more compliments on my hair and appearance since switching to it, and my hair is in great condition. Another plus is as the color fades, silver hair becomes fine lightly-colored highlights, and there's no hard line when it grows out like with stronger dyes. Light Mountain Color the Gray works well for me. If you're tempted to try it, be forewarned, though: It's at minimum a 2-plus hour, rather messy process. I've outlined the steps below. I am getting more and more gray, but I use their regular product which is a lot simpler to use. You just mix it with hot distilled water and put it on.
This one comes with two pouches---one you mix with hot distilled water and let sit an hour and the second one you mix with hot distilled water and let set 3 or four hours. This is the best way to put it on---and believe me, I have tried the paint brush and tried the mustard bottles. The best way is to get a hairdresser to do it for you---not kidding (and offer her half of what you want to pay, because after the first time she does it, she will double her price---I know this for a fact, it happened to me with different people) Skeeeeeered off yet?---it gets worse, so buckle up.
