I first bought this at a local organic grocer. I have been using it for about 2 years, and I really like it. I like that this product is totally organic. I also like what it does for my hair. I have gotten so many compliments on how natural this hair color looks. It fades in about 4 weeks (about the same as chemical colors), but it does not turn brassy like chemical hair colors do. You have to mix it up and I joke that I am "mudding" my hair. It dries gritty, and I use a little conditioner after rinsing to get the rest of it out. My hair is completely gray, so I follow their suggestion of mixing in a little apple cider vinegar to help it color the gray better. I also use brewed coffee rather than water. The mixture does not stain the counter or floor, only hair and skin. As another reviewer points out, the plant henna is only a red dye. Rainbow Henna uses other plants for other colors -- they are clearly stated in the ingredients.

I have dark brown hair, so this specific one didn't change my hair much. {People see the red in bright light/sun} I've been looking for alternative ways to dye my hair, as i really don't want to bleach it. I kept it in 1.5 hours, so a little longer than directed. My hair smelled a bit weird for 2 days, but people didn't notice! I mixed the paste with about 4 cups of coffee. I'm really looking forward to buying the red henna and I'm SOOOOO happy to have found this product.

We used this kids shampoo for our daughter. She got it in her eyes, and for 30 minutes straight my daughter has been crying "IT HURTS"!!!
