After finding out that I could no longer use permanent hair coloring, I decided to try henna. I choose Light Brown as my hair was a dark blonde/gray and I had a reddish tendancy. Well, what a gorgeous coppery auburn my hair turned out to be. I use Lemon juice with the henna and leave it sit for 1 hr w/o using heat,just covering with plastic bag given in box. It can be messy but after you're done with the timing, just go into the shower and rinse it out. It says not to use shampoo for 24 hrs afterwards but I have and don't see any problems. Hair is soft, shiny and full. I have gotten so many compliments with this "new me" look and intend to continue. One thing I can't stress enough and that is Follow the Directions, especially if you are a first time user. Don't be dicouraged by the "goop" that it becomes or the smell, it's all worth it.
