I use Surya Henna products as an alternative to standard hair color, since I am highly allergic to the chemicals contained in them. I've tried many other "natural" products, but this is the best around. It is easy to apply and the color does cover any gray hair, even if it is only temporary. The one negative of this product is the fact that is oxidizes and washes out. It can stain towels, so use a dark color towel to dry your hair.
