I have been using this product for a long time. I naturally have a dirty, washed out blonde hair with hints of strawberry in the summer. I went through several reds to find this one, including Herbal Essence and at one point mixing my own color from Sally's. I have had many hairstylists ask about my color and other customers in salons request that their stylist color their hair like my "natural" red. This is by far the best red I have ever found. It is dark at first coloring but within a week washes to the natural auburn.

Don't be discouraged if it doesn't work for you. Everyone's hair is different and it may take a few trys to find a color that fits you. Stay away from anything with a purple tone...unless you want the fake look.

I just wish I could find this locally...it's rare and recently impossible.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fades far less than other reds..., June 1, 2011

With much less damage. I have naturally red hair that has gone white, gray and faded over the years. I have tried MANY red hair colors. This one fades the least, color looks pretty much like the box, and does not damage my hair. I recommend it highly!

To make the color last even longer, dilute the developer by 1/3.

As for the other review, this is an auburn, which means it does have some brown in with the red. If you want a reddish blonde, this is not the color for you.

I love this color. My hair turns out brown with red highlights. I color my roots first and then do ends last 5 minutes and my color comes out even. My husband likes this color and thinks it looks natural. I've been using this for a while but tried color 76 and didn't like it so I came back to this color. I hope you keep carrying this.
