If you are aiming for purple hair, you will need to bleach your hair... unlike what the color scale leads you to believe. I was hoping for a darkish purple on my Chestnut hair color; which Herbatints color scale said it could cover, but there is a lightener in the activater which made the resulting hair color come out a reddish black cherry (at least for my hair type); looks pretty, but not what I had intended. If you buy this product, make sure to bleach out any existing hair color to achieve purple. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Flash Fashion Plum 4.16 Ounces (Misc.) This product died my hair red, and not purple, as advertised. I have light brown hair, so if your hair color is similar, stay away from this product, unless you want Ronald McDonald red. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By Sara "Sara" (NJ) - See all my reviews This review is from: Flash Fashion Plum 4.16 Ounces (Misc.) Well it did change my color. I didn't bleach it out which I wish that I had because it didn't show up purple at all on my reddish brown hair. It just made my hair look dark brown. It also washed out in weeks and now my hair is a funky fake red color which I really hate. I would say bleach first but don't expect it to stay in for long. |
