I've never dyed my hair at home before, I usually go to a salon. This was easy enough to use but a bit messy. It itches the scalp but nothing too bad. My hair was soft after washing it out, etc.
My problem with the dye is the COLOR name. This is not "Jet Black" at all. I'm not African American but I chose this brand since I figured it would color dark hair better. My hair is naturally black and I wanted it to be a really dark onyx black. I guess I should have gone for the Midnight Blue shade. This made my hair lighter than my real hair color... Naturally my hair kind of has a very dark brown/red hue in the sun. After dyeing, it has a very dark brown/red hue all the time. -.- At least it covered my highlights.
Be sure you want a lighter black/dark brown and not a deep black before using.
