Clairol Natural Instincts Hair Color # 26 Hot Cocoa, Medium Bronze Brown - 1 Application

I have used this color for many years, and was extremely happy with the results. However, the product line has recently changed, and the new version of this color is a little darker. I frantically searched online for some of the discontinued color, and found what I thought was 8 boxes of it at Sams Online, via Amazon. When I received my shipment, I was disappointed to discover that they had sent me the new version of the color, which was NOT the box advertised on their website. Now I am stuck having to return them, probably at my expense. So be careful if you are looking for the older version... what you see is NOT what you get.

And note to Clairol-- if it ain't broke, don't fix it. This WAS the perfect haircolor. Why did you have to mess with a good thing?

I've found this to be a really good color. My natural color falls in between other Natural Instinct shades, but this one works well--it covers the small amount of gray I have (but note that it's temporary color so it doesn't cover the gray permanently) and it doesn't bring out the red undertones too much. Also, it leaves my hair shiny and healthy looking. I try to stay away from chemicals as much as possible, and this brand seems to be at the low end of the "chemical scale." The only thing is it's been difficult to find this particular shade at the drugstore lately!
