Clairol Natural Instincts Color, (Pack of 3)

Fading at forty - that was my hair-dilemma several years ago (okay, eighteen years ago)... Looking to refresh my color to that of my younger days - red-gold when hit by the sun, I began my quest for a great hair coloring product.

Clairol Natural Instincts, from its inception, hit the mark when it came to gentle processing which left my hair feeling like hair and not straw. However, I could never quite find the exact color I was looking for. Many of the reds stocked by the retailers looked almost purple and the lighter reds were just not right for my skin tone.

I finally began mixing Natural Instincts Hot Cocoa and Natural Instincts Golden Sienna to achieve a color close to what I sought. I love this product. I'd never colored my hair before, so was very nervous. Finally tried it two weeks ago. It was incredibly easy to use, fast, with very little scent (the scent, in fact, was nice). I am a natural strawberry blonde, so I never thought the color would look this natural, but it is perfect. It has gorgeous, flattering golden highlights, and provides excellent coverage of the white hairs that made my natural color dull. My hair is in better condition than when I started! It has started to fade a little, hence the four instead of five stars, but I've read that reds are notoriously difficult to keep from fading. I've already bought my second box. Great product for redheads.

I searched in numerous stores looking for this color because it is the only dye that doesn't ruin my hair but has an intense beautiful blackberry hue. No store has it and I was so bummed thinking the color was discontinued. I was so happy to see that I could order it online. I can't wait to get my order because I know how wonderful the results will be. I highly recommend this brand of haircolor and definitely this shade to anyone who likes a shiny healthy bold look.
