Product Description
Rich red henna combines with indigo for a deep chestnut colour. In the sun, you're hair will gleam with a red halo, while in the shade, you'll have more of a reddish brown look about you. People will stop you on the street to comment on your gorgeous locks; we know because lots of us at the LUSH Towers use it and get compliments all the time (although we like to promote LUSH, we often try to pass it off as our natural colour). Note: This product may melt and is NOT guaranteed to arrive solid during the summer months!

Summary: Pleasantly surprised 2010-03-29
Comment: I bought this to tint my hair back from platinum blonde to auburn. I was afraid to put anymore chemicals on my hair because it was so fragile from bleaching. Because my hair was so light, it took 3 applications (1/3 of the bar each, my hair is short) to get where I wanted to be. The first one came out strawberry blonde, the second was a natural looking red, and finally a medium auburn. None of the colors were bad at all. With each application, my hair felt stronger and healthier.

One thing to note though is that henna takes awhile to develop. During the first 2 hours after washing it out, my hair went almost a full level darker. Over the next 3 days, the slightly orange/yellow cast disappeared and it settled into a really beautiful color. So if you're not sure you're happy with your results, give it a few days. This was my first experience with henna and I'll probably never go back to chemical dyes.

Comment: I highly recommend the Caca Hair Henna line by LUSH. Their henna leaves the hair superbly conditioned, well colored, glossy and silky smooth. I have tried some other products and found them very drying to the scalp and hair. I never experienced this problem with Caca henna by LUSH. Give it a try. It is well worth the extra money.

Comment: Product is messy and has a strong unpleasant smell, but it really does a great job on tinting your hair. It gives a bright red that looks beautiful when reflecting the light. Wear gloves! It will stain your skin for a few days. Product will not lighten hair, only add color and sheen.
