Ardell Gray Magic 1 oz. Bottle

I bought a small bottle of Ardell Gray Magic on a whim at Sally Beauty a few years ago. I color my hair at home with L'Oreal Superior Preference in an amber brown color. I think L'Oreal is the best hair color (and my stylist agrees), but I have some very resistant gray at temples and through crown. They didn't color well with just the Superior Preference, and the color washed out of those areas first.

The Gray Magic does help get better coverage on those resistant grays. I mix a portion per the directions into a plastic color bowl with my mixed L'Oreal color and apply that to the roots first. Then I add more Gray Magic to the rest of the L'Oreal color after about 15 minutes and apply throughout the rest of my hair.

The Gray Magic looks darker than the hair color I use, but it doesn't seem to compete with the hair color I use. I will continue to use it. If you have coarse or resistant gray hair then this product might be a good product for you to try for better...Read more

This product was used by my hairdresser of 25 years. WHen I moved she gave me the formula for the hair dye color and said the secret to cover the tough gray hairs was this product. Recommend you all add 15 drops to your dyes.

I purchased this great product from this vendor BEFORE reading the previous review dated Jan. 7, 2012 - The amount listed of 1 ounce size is not what is received. I opened the box it was a .25 ounce bottle when the outside of the box clearly states it is a 1 ounce bottle. BEWARE!!
